Pink is not a color that appears in the rainbow but it is still one of the most well-known colors on earth! Pink is created by mixing red and white together. It comes in a wide variety of shades, from light “Baby Pink” to “Hot Pink” to darker “Magenta” and “Fuchsia.” Hence, pink is one of the most versatile hues of all.
Pink is often associated with little girls and dolls like Barbie. Likewise, pink is the most popular color for girls clothing, room furniture and toys in general. Light pink (also known as “baby pink”) is associated with the birth of a female child. It is also associated with women’s causes, such as the movement that promotes finding a cure for breast cancer.
Pink is naturally found in many flowers, sunsets and large birds called flamingos. Pink is usually regarded as being a happy and joyful color. It frequently appears around springtime and the Christian holiday known as Easter. The lighter shades of pink also have a calming effect on people and it is popularly used as a decorative color in tropical resorts and hotels.
Pink is also associated with sweet foods. For example, a lot of cupcake frosting is colored pink and the inside of several fruits is pink. Yet, despite its constant presence, pink is not one of adult people’s favorite colors despite being highly favored by young girls.
