FaceMan, Ayo Awosika and More: Denver live music weekend picks Feb. 3-4

As usual, there are plenty of great live shows going on in Denver this weekend—but a huge winter storm is blowing in, so be sure to check with the venue before venturing out (especially Friday night). That said, here are some of the more promising gigs scheduled for this weekend.
 
FRIDAY, FEB. 3

Local experimental indie artist FaceMan is hosting the 2nd Annual FaceMan’s Waltz at the Bluebird Theater, 3317 E. Colfax in Denver. Tickets are $15 advance, $18 day of show, available through Bluebird Theater. Service charge may apply. Doors at 8:00 PM; show starts at 9:00. Ages 16+.
 
Ft. Collins folk/alt-country band Mosey West is playing at Larimer Lounge, 2721 Larimer St. in Denver. Also appearing are The Kentucky Parlor Pickers, Jen Korte & the Loss and Patti Fiasco. Tickets are $8 each, available from Larimer Lounge. Doors at 8:30 PM; show starts at 9:30. Ages 21+.

SATURDAY, FEB. 4

Local jazz/soul artist Ayo Awosika is playing a show at Leon, 1112 E. 17th Ave. in Denver. Suggested donation $15 at the door. Doors at 7:00 PM; show starts at 8:00. 
 
Local “psychedelic” indie band Hearts In Space is headlining at The Walnut Room, 3131 Walnut St. in Denver. Opening the show is The Centennial. Tickets are $7 advance, $10 day of show, available from The Walnut Room. Service charges may apply. Show time  at 8:00 PM. Ages 21+.
