It is bad enough to shoot an animal for sport. But to torture one that is wounded and frightened, and then posting it on the internet is just plain sick according to Canadian Wildlife official Gary Provencher after viewing a video of a hunter riding a bleeding deer on a sled down a slope sled posted on Facebook.

“This is extremely disturbing, and we have asked that it be removed from the social media site immediately.
Although the Royal Canadian Mounted Police stated they don’t have enough evidence to bring criminal charges against the perpetrator, Provencher did state that his agency, the Saskatchewan's Ministry of Environment, is conducting its own investigation to see if any charges can be made under the Saskatchewan Wildlife Act.

Note: Saskatchewan is particularly rich in a wide variety of ecosystems ranging from the sub-arctic tundra of the Canadian Shield in the north to aspen parkland, the Mid-Continental Canadian forests in the center of the province and moist grassland noted for its population of white tailed and mule deer. is particularly rich in a wide variety of ecosystems ranging from the sub-arctic tundra of the Canadian Shield in the north to aspen parkland, the Mid-Continental Canadian forests in the center of the province and moist grassland noted for its population of white tailed and mule deer.
