Facebook's Color Changing Virus is Back Again

Facebook is not quite like Myspace when it comes to customizable themes. We all know the plain blue and white is old, but mostly those are the little things. We worry more about cat videos than anything else, however, there are some of us who wish for a different color theme. In the Myspace days you were a loud to access the HTML (Hyper-Text Markup Language) and CSS (Cascading Style Sheet) of a page. Tumblr.com has a much better, robust system of customization. With little snippets of code placed into a certain place a loud a user to changer their background image, or text color. Facebook, on the other hand, does not offer any customization. This leads to ads displaying “Change your Facebook theme here” which a handful of the time are virus. Some time back there was a color changing virus that advertise of changing a Facebook theme. Facebook took the time and removed it from the website completely. In recent time the color changing virus has made a return. Users will be greeted with an application download manager which is a video player that holds the virus. Once the application is downloaded, the virus begins by stealing the token to a Facebook page. Tokens provide a temporary, secure access to a website. At this point, a Facebook profile is now comprised, so the best thing to do would be to change the password immediately. To be completely safe from such a virus, simply do not click on anything that has to do with Facebook theme customization or anything that you have trouble deciding if something is legitimate or not. Safe surfing!
