Facebook live stream announces new features for 2013

Rumor has it that Facebook will be completely redesigning their news feed which means users of the social media outlet should prepare for a big change.

Mashable.com is reporting that today during the highly anticipated Facebook live stream, the social networking giant will announce a newly designed news feed for its users. It is important to note that the news feed which was introduced in back in 2006 has remained untouched since its inception – what does Zuckerberg have planned and will Facebook users welcome change with open arms?

Rumors have been swirling that Facebook plans to implement the ability to see multiple news feeds based on several different categories, support for larger photographs and a new ad system that would allow image-based ads [it's about time].

Mashable will be live blogging the Facebook press event today and unlike Apple, who swears that live streams are the devil, Mark Zuckerberg will also be live streaming the event.
