Those that were upset with the timeline feature that Facebook forced everyone to have over the past year can now either rejoice or groan as more changes are coming. Mashable revealed on Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2013, that some recent changes are being changed yet again and the timeline is getting a tad bit of an overhaul soon.
Back in Dec. 2012, some Facebook users began seeing changes to the top of their profiles, and now those in New Zealand appear to be getting all of them already. Some of the changes include:
- New options at the top of your profile
- Maps are now gone
- Thumbnail images are now gone
- A "Collections Manager" feature that allows Facebook users to customize the top of their page and rearrange the right-hand column
Nothing has been confirmed by Facebook, but it appears as if these new changes will start rolling out to all users very shortly.
Facebook users in New Zealand had mixed emotions about the new changes. Some thought they were great while others believe that Facebook is fixing a problem that wasn't really an issue to begin with, and they find the changes unnecessary.
Either way, those that were more comfortable with the old Facebook "walls" instead of the "timeline" should be happy because some of the changes bring back the old.
