Facebook banned me after I posted pro-Second Amendment pictures

Plenty of activists on Facebook know the pain of being “banned”. Facebook sends you a message saying that you have posted offensive content on your page, you have offended community standards, and if you do it again, you’re at risk of losing your page completely. I have already had one personal page taken from me, never to be returned (most likely), when I publicly stated that a small-time internet wannabe-radio host was cyber-stalking me. I never suspected that I would be banned for posting on my new personal Facebook page for posting pro-Second Amendment content. If I had been paying any kind of attention, I would have heard that Facebook is “purging” accounts that are considered pro-gun and pro-liberty.

I received the notification on Friday that I would not be allowed to post on my personal Facebook page for seven days. I had posted an image that was offensive. What was my offensive image? A woman commented on The Angel Clark Show fan page on Facebook. Edith said, “Just wished to let you know i am leaving your page because of your support of guns. USA is sick because media is behind this paranoia. I hope you lose many fans. You should be ashamed to play a role in this ridiculous game. Good bye.” I wrote a response to Edith. “Protecting yourself and your family from tyranny is not a game. I am sorry you see your life as a joke, but my life is important. Have a good life, however sad and twisted it may be.”

Within 45 minutes, my personal page was banned from posting on Facebook. I had said nothing offensive. There were no curse words in either correspondence. There were no images of genitals and no mentions of lewd sexual acts. My only mistake, methinks, was to post pro-Second Amendment statements.

I had a back-up personal Facebook account that has admin abilities on my Facebook fan pages so I can still post on The Angel Clark Show fan page on Facebook. Facebook is a private company and is entitled to ban or censor whomever they would like. I understand that, but do not appreciate that they’re using their social network to censor those who support our Constitutional rights.
