Do you spend your time checking each of your friend’s photos on Facebook to see if you did anything embarrassing at last night’s event? Well look no further cause Facebook announced Monday the ability to create shared photo albums for you and 50 of your closest friends.
The feature allows for the creator of the album to control who can contribute as well as who can view the album. Contributors can share up to 200 photos and have the ability to edit those photos only. The albums come with three privacy settings; public, contributors only and friends of contributors. The album creator will be the only one to control the privacy settings.
When creating an album simply click “Make Shared Album” and select your privacy settings. In addition to selecting who sees the album the creator can decide if contributors can invite friends to add to the album as well.
The feature has some limitations to start. Creation of the photo albums is currently limited to the Facebook site and does not allow it on the mobile app but photos can be added from the app once the album is created. The new photo albums do not apply to Pages.
They began the roll out of this new feature Monday and will continue in the coming days. Be sure to set one up for your next party, wedding, vacation or pet adoption.
