Facebook about to release single column Timeline

According to a recently published article on The Next Web, Facebook is about to release a new version of their timeline to users and will be rolling out the changes today, January 8, 2013.

The changes involve putting the links we're using to seeing, namely the link boxes to our friends, photos, maps and Likes into one drop-down menu and replacing that area with content in the right-side will show friends, recent activity and other non-messaging updates.

Also, highlighting posts will no longer be available in the new design.

The Timeline change is being rolled out as you read this in New Zealand first and of course, thereafter across the world.
