The verdict is not in yet on whether face tattoos are boldly beautiful or just shockingly sick. Most people have come to accept body art and even body modifications as it has become more popular. They are seen as beautiful in some of cultures and celebrated in many.
One Russian couple, however has really pushed the old tattoo needle recently. Rouslan Toumaniantz, a Russian tattoo artist, and his online girlfriend Lesya Toumaniantz of Saransk had only known each other from a chat room and finally decided to meet. After only a 24 hour meeting Rouslan asked his cyber chic to prove her love by getting a version of his name, "Ruslan," in five inch gothic letters across both sides of her face.
Lesya, who is now Rouslan's fiance and has been using his last name since their engagement on January 20 said, "It's a sign of our love and devotion. I'd like him tatto every inch of my body." Lesya is planning to get a full body tattoo and to be Rouslan's tattoo apprentice to become an artist herself.
They say beauty is in the eye of the beholder and that does seem to be true. Everyone has their own idea or version of what is beautiful. This examiner just hopes for Lesya's sake that her whirlwind romance lasts as long as that face tattoo.
