While a lot of fans online seem to believe that John Cena is no longer interesting as the face of the WWE, it looks like more fans believe that he is the perfect face for the company. According to a poll conducted by the WWE on Aug. 24, fans voted John Cena as who they want to see as the face of the WWE.
John Cena is running away with the vote, winning with over 28 percent of the 21,000 votes cast. That means over 5,900 people chose John Cena as the man they want to see leading the WWE, almost a decade after he first rose to power in the WWE.
The man many Internet fans seem to want to see get a chance to run with the top spot is Daniel Bryan. However, as this vote shows, the majority of fans who voted for the face of the WWE did not see it that way as Bryan finished in third place in the results.
CM Punk picked up 25 percent of the fan votes while Daniel Bryan has 24 percent of the votes. This means Bryan received about 900 votes less than John Cena for the fan vote. What is interesting is that the man the WWE chose to run with the WWE title instead of Bryan, Randy Orton, only received 16 percent of the votes.
Two administrators had their names on the list, with Triple H only picking up four percent and Vince McMahon himself getting a low two percent. That is still better than Alberto Del Rio, who wanted last place with one percent of the votes to be the face of the WWE.
