Fabric Art Creations in the 2nd Street Market has a colorful selection of new items to brighten up your spring! Local artist Vicki King is always on the lookout for great fabrics and patterns to recycle and repurpose into her works of art.
These are items which are as useful and practical as they are beautiful: hand woven rag rugs, runners, purses, coasters, pot holders, sewn coiled bowls, jewelry cases, wallets, eyeglass cases, Kindle, Nook and Sony Reader covers, sewn picture frames and wonderful little felted birds! You can find something to suit any taste or any budget.
Ms. King creates her colorful, usable works of art by sewing on a 30-year-old sewing machine, doing her own weaving, and felting her own wool; she uses 100% cotton fabrics in her artwork.
With such a diverse offering of eco-friendly items, you are sure to find accessories to match any outfit or decorative scheme, or the perfect item for a hostess gift or for any other happy event!
If you are unable to make it to the 2nd Street Market, Vicki does have a limited number of items in her Etsy shop. You may also contact her through her Etsy account with any custom orders, and she is happy to email photos of items for your review and to work with you to create just what you have in mind!
