Fabled Hero is one of the newest "Theros" spoilers revealed today Sept. 11, 2013 from Wizards of the Coast's upcoming expert "Magic: The Gathering" expansion set in an article on ManaDeprived.com. This rare white heroic creature can grow very large with just one spell.

Heroic - Whenever you cast a spell that targets Fabled Hero, put a +1/+1 counter on Fabled Hero.

Enchanting Fabled Hero with Ordeal of Purphoros or Ordeal of Heliod will allow it to deal a whopping eight damage the first time you attack with it. Unflinching Courage is another aura worth considering, granting trample, lifelink, and +2/+2. Gaining ten life a turn and putting your opponent on a two turn clock will put your opponent into a corner unless they have a Hero's Downfall, Magma Jet, or Voyage's End in hand. Of course if you're worried about your opponent getting a two-for-one you'll be able to avoid that by using a bestow creature such as Observant Alseid or Boon Satry.
Fabled Hero may not have protection like Mirran Crusader or have an immediate impact on the amount of damage you'll deal this turn as Silverblade Paladin does, however even the most common pump spells like Giant Growth can make Fabled Hero deal a devastating 12 damage if unblocked.
