As the man of the match in the DC United victory over FC Dallas last weekend for week eight in the MLS, Fabian Espindola scored twice and assisted once to wrap up his month of April with three goals and three passes for goal in four games.
This monumental performance from the Argentinian awarded him a place under the spotlight in the MLS Team of the Week along side Clint Dempsey (Seattle Sounders) and Bradley Wright-Phillips (New York Red Bulls).
After eight rounds in the MLS this season, Espindola now stands in second place for most assists with three and as the forth top scorer with four goals.
But the Team of the Week placement is not the only reward the DC United's striker is in the short list. Espindola made to the final nominees as the Player of the Month voting for April, too. Other candidates include his teammate Bobby Boswell, Dempsey (Seattle Sounders), Robbie Keane (LA Galaxy) and Wright-Phillips (New York Red Bulls).

After an undefeated month of April with four matches divided into two wins and two draws, the Black-and-Red--third seed in the Easter Conference--enter May facing off the Portland Timbers Saturday at 10:30 p.m. EDT.
