You missin’ kissin’? How about puckering up for one of the Fab Four, say Sir Paul McCartney? Maybe even a smoochie for Ringo Starr?
Perhaps a Greek god is more to your taste? Zeus or Aphrodite anyone?
A kissing booth full of kittens are ready to give love for just $1 as a fundraiser for the Sacramento’s Front Street Animal Shelter. Their names? why, Sir Paul, John Lennon, and siblings Ringo Starr and George Harrison, of course!
The kittens are part of the neonatal rescue program at the shelter. Shelter staff write on the Facebook page that they have been working with the kittens to prepare for their pucker-up duties with kisses and tummy tickles. A dozen kittens are slated for the “Kitten Kissin’ Booth.” Other activities scheduled include a pups promenade, a dog custom contest, a raffle, food from SactoMoFo, and of course, the chance to meet adoptable pups and kitties. Each has been health-checked, behavior tested, vaccinated, micro-chipped and fixed.
Mark your calendar and set aside some time to:
- Dine! Assorted Sacto MoFo mobile food trucks are vendors at the event. There is sure to be something tasty to tempt your buds! Sacto MoFo will donate a percentage of sales to the shelter — so bring an appetite,
- Play! Enjoy carnival-style games, vendors, photo booths, agility demonstrations, a raffle with a bounty of prizes, and more,
- Compete! Participate in a 1K Pup Promenade or the annual Doggy Costume Contest — all for the low price of $20 per dog. All proceeds benefit the animals at the Front Street Animal Shelter,
- Visit! Meet adoptable dogs from the Front Street Animal Shelter and other rescue organizations and find a new furrrever friend.
Pups in the Park takes place at McKinley Park, on Saturday, May 31, 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. For more information, see the shelter’s Facebook page or the event page. All proceeds benefit the Front Street Animal Shelter veterinary surgical unit.
