A Félix Leclerc tribute show and a special night with Louis-Jean Cormier have been added to the 47th annual Festival d’été de Québec (FEQ) lineup. Created exclusively for the 2014 Quebec City Summer Festival, the two concept shows will take place at the Bell Stage, located at the historic Plains of Abraham site.

According to a media release posted May 26 at the festival's official website at, FEQ will open this year on July 3 with a special celebration in honour of the 100th birthday of the late iconic French-Canadian singer-songwriter and activist. Hosted by Yves Jacques, the legendary songs of the 2006 Canadian Songwriters Hall of Fame inductee will be performed by an eclectic group of artists, accompanied by five musicians and a string ensemble under the musical direction of Jean-Benoît Lasanté.

A few nights later, on July 6, Louis-Jean Cormier will hit the Bell Stage along with a special group of friends, including: Ariane Moffatt, Lisa LeBlanc and Marie-Pierre Arthur. The Juno Award winning indie rocker, backed with an expanded band, video projections, special lighting effects and Brigitte Poupart as stage director will perform songs from the his 2013 Polaris Prize nominated solo debut album "Le treizième étage."

This year's huge FEQ lineup also includes previously announced headliners, including: Billy Joel, Lady, Gaga, The Killers, Bryan Adams, Soundgarden, Queens of the Stone Age, Journey and many more. Last week, multi - Juno winning progressive-house artist Deadmau5 was announced as Bell Stage headliner on July 9.

Quebec City Summer Fest offers over 300 performances in 10 unique indoor and outdoor venues over the course of 11 days from July 3 - July 11. Discounted early bird festival passes priced at $68.00 and VIP access passes have sold out. A limited amount of festival passes at $78.00 (taxes and fees included), which give access to all venues and show for all 11 days, are still available.
