Eyes to the Skies in Lisle is a carnival and festival held over the Fourth of July weekend that includes hot air balloon flights, carnival rides, food, fireworks, entertainment, music, a parade, duck races, an area for children and more.
The carnival runs from July 1 – 5 and the festival is from July 2 – 4. Independence Day fireworks will be presented on July 2 –
4, beginning at 9:45 pm. The Grand Finale will be synchronized to patriotic music.
The hot air balloons make the Eyes to the Skies Festival unique in the Chicago area. There will balloon flights daily on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Flight times are 6 am, 6 pm and 8:30 pm (Balloon Glow). The balloon flight is the most watched feature of the annual festival. The most spectacular view of the balloons is just before and after the firework shows, when the tethered balloons lift up about 100 feet in the air and in the darkness of the night sky the balloons give off a glow, giving off their own light show.
The 4th of July Parade is a patriotic community event that will be held on Saturday at 3:30 pm.
The Fourth Annual Duck Race will be held on July 4 at about 5:00 pm. Sign up for a change to win prizes, including a grand prize of $25,000.
