Examiner.com/Syracuse sadly passes along the news of the passing of EyeHateGod drummer Joseph E. LaCaze on August 23rd. The New Orleans native played the skins for EyeHateGod, Mystick Krewe of Clearlight and Outlaw Order. He passed away just after a recent and very successful five week tour of the UK and Europe. The drummer also did some ceremonial voodoo drumming in numerous solo experimental electronics projects. Doctors confirmed to family members that the cause of death was respiratory failure. He also suffered from long term asthma.
An account is set up for the benefit of his daughter Lilith LaCaze. Checks can be made payable to the Lilith LaCaze or Joseph LaCaze donation fund at any Capital One Bank in any city.
Rest in peace and this writer extends his condolences to his family, friends, and fellow bandmates. Asthma is such a horrible affliction to live with and this only nails it home just how deadly it can be.
