If you aren’t aware, Extreme Makeover is in Baltimore helping build Boys Hope Girls Hope NOW! Boys Hope Girls Hope is a multi-denominational, privately funded home r that helps academically and motivated children-in-need reach their potential. Today is Day 5 and they still need volunteers and they need drinking water desperately.
Who opened up their cupboards?
So who is feeding all the volunteers, reliable sources say Patrick McCusker, (Scunny) from Nacho Mama's and Mama's on the Half Shell did and Martin's Caterers is ALL over this. A friend who lives in the neighborhood says there is a van from Hollywood feeding the stars and Bo Brooks crabs for the VIP tent. Advised many local purveyors are helping if I missed mentioning anyone you know in the food business that is helping out let us know. Would like to give them a round of applause and props!
ADDENDUM: Thanks to Cindy Wick Plackmeyer here is the list of all the generous souls who have donated food. Cindy says all the calls for this were undertaken by the Home Builders Association of Maryland. This is a local effort and volunteers have spent HOURS coordinating the meals on site to be sure that all workers/volunteers are fed and cared for –they are providing a huge service.
