Furry family members and friends should be given the same unconditional love and treatment that they give to us. Just as the children need to be bathed and groomed so do the doggies. Brushing the pups lovely coats free of knots and even cleaning their teeth are just as important for their health as having a good diet.

Everyone likes to look attractive and special.

A new hairstyle and makeover can brighten one's day. Shopping for a new outfit can bring add new confidence as well. When perking up our looks it is exciting when people notice and comment with pleasing responses.

People are now giving the doggies in their lives a special makeover worthy of a canine Queen or King.

Dogs have evolved from mere pets to accessories thanks to celebs like Paris Hilton who bring their mini pooches everywhere in their very own designer bags to match their owners style.

The stylish doggie is now attaining a style of his or her own beyond a designer bag. Dogs of all sizes are sharing the limelight with spectacular grooming that is worthy of a fashion runway.

Extreme grooming is the newest fashion for barking babies.

People are sprucing their dogs in extreme ways that pose no harm and add whimsy to their pets appearance.

  • Dogs are getting a haircut and color to coordinate with the owner's fashion.
  • Turn the pet into a work of abstract art using organic dyes and scissors.
  • Doggies fluff is being trimmed to mimic other animals such as Lions, Pandas and even camels and horses.
  • Pretty dogs are transformed into dragons and ninja turtles.

Contests are being held to show off the pooches of living art.

Posted on the Sandy Paws Grooming Shop site are photos of Cindy the poodle groomed to the height of artistic fashion. Also to be noted is the explanation on the site regarding the special grooming: "for those who are overly concerned about the dogs emotions. Cindy loves the attention. She will prance around and expects your attention. This is a Creative Grooming Contest and Cindy will look like this for only a few hours. After the contest Cindy will be clipped into a normal poodle haircut."

Even some calm kitties who don't want to be upstaged are sprucing up their fur. Sculpting fur coats into works of art has become the newest fashion and conversation starter. Coordinate matching looks for yourself and your pup to show off as you stroll down the street on a happy walk.
