One of the best ways to live frugally is to follow sales to locals stores, but shoppers seeking to be thrifty shouldn't chase every sale or travel to stores far outside there usual shopping area. People who do this are eating their savings in time and gas.
Topping good sales with coupons maximizes savings, especially at stores that double coupons. In Memphis, Kroger, Gordin's and Fred's double coupons. Each store's policy for coupons and for doubling is different, so customers should be familiar with coupon policies in advance.
Gordin's accepts manufacturer (coupons from the Sunday paper or printable online) and doubles coupons up to $0.60. Only two "like" (the same) coupon is doubled. If you want to stock up you'll need to consider multiple transactions, or multiple trips.
