The ballot initiative to create an Extraterrestrial Affairs Commission is finally going to Denver voters. In a letter dated November 30, Denver City Clerk and Recorder, Stephanie Y. O’Malley, confirmed sufficiency of the petition. The letter informed Jeff Peckman, chief proponent of the initiative, that “the Denver Elections Division has found a sufficient number of valid signatures to place the measure on the ballot…at the next citywide election.”
Well over 10,000 signatures were submitted to obtain the 3,974 valid signatures needed. If the voters pass the measure, it would create a commission funded entirely by “grants, gifts, and donations”. The full text of the initiative lists the reasons for creating the commission, along with qualifications and duties of commission members.
A major task of the commission will be to collect credible evidence that extraterrestrial intelligent beings and their 'UFO' vehicles have been visiting Earth. The evidence will then be displayed on the Denver City government web site. The seven regular members of the commission will also try to determine both risks and benefits of interacting with extraterrestrial visitors.
UFO disclosure advocates claim that private citizens have a lot of evidence about UFOs and extraterrestrial visitors and want to make it public. They also claim that the U.S. Government has refused to disclose its UFO files for over 60 years. Testimony by highly credible whistleblowers in the Disclosure Project has revealed a massive and costly government cover-up and hoax related to the UFO files. National governments of other major countries have already released secret documents on UFOs and left the U.S. far behind.
This first-of-its-kind ballot initiative attracted worldwide media attention when it began in April 2008. Recent movies like Race to Witch Mountain, District Nine, The Fourth Kind, Skyrunners, and Ben 10: Alien Swarm, show the huge ongoing interest by the public and the news media in UFOs and extraterrestrial visitors. The Extraterrestrial Affairs Commission ballot initiative is being watched worldwide for its potential impact on U.S. government disclosure of UFO files.
The initiative’s proponents will have more than eight months for voter education. Updates on the initiative campaign will be posted at the EXTRA Campaign web site and presented at other public events.

Wow it's amazing how many signatures you can buy.
Now that we have that on the ballot lets look at some of the other movies that are popular right now and base the next campaign on them.
Twilight,The Vampires Assistant,The Vampire Diaries,The Suburban Vampire, Blood the last Vampire, The Last Vampire, Daybreakers, etc.. So who is up for a Vampire disclosure? Not only do a lot of people believe in Vampires many think that they are a Vampire so it must be real.
Maybe a Bigfoot welcoming group for Colorado? We are #5 in Bigfoot sightings?
Congratulations to Jeff Peckman and the many, many volunteers who, along with paid petitioners, brought in the needed signatures to make the ballot!! We the People can bring about change in a grassroots effort. Thanks to Stan Romanek for his courageous and ongoing efforts to educate the public to his experiences, and his neverending drive to speak and share the Messages! www.stanromanek.com

Good Job...ur an idiot!!...
Maybe someone can answer this question: if the major task of this initiative is to form a group of people to collect and publish information on the web, why can't that be done on a private web site? Why do people need to vote to allow that to happen? Wouldn't a private web site have more freedom of what it publishes?
RJ: The whole point of the initiative is to have a group that is overseen by a government entity. That is the whole point. There are many private websites that cover this very topic. Why is everyone so up in arms about the success of the initiative??? It won't cost taxpayers a single dime! It is funded through gifts, grants, and donations. My guess is that you are more upset that Jeff Peckman succeeded, and it has nothing to do with the topic, or that the signatures were collected.
Victoria, I don't mean to upset anyone with my question. But I still don't get it. Why does the group need to be overseen by a government entity? It's the group members that collect the content to put on the web. And if, like you said, this is already being done by many private web sites, why use taxpayer resources (the web site, the government's time in overseeing, the administrative overhead) to do it again? And why redirect our gifts, grants, and donations, that Denver already uses for things like the Zoo, and the arts, and homeless shelters, to a committee whose function, as you said, is already duplicated by many private web sites?
Congratulations to Jeff Peckman and the volunteers for all of your hard work and efforts! This is a very exciting moment for humanity!
RJ: Your questions are good ones; worthy of consideration. We are trying to get our Government to acknowledge and disclose the truth they've been hiding regarding ET and UFO files. This is a first step in Government recognition that the topic is valid and worthy of serious consideration and review. The gifts, grants, and donations would be earmarked for this Commission, not taken from other causes. I can donate $100 dollars to be used towards the Commission, versus donating to the zoo or other entity, of which I likely would not provide donations. It gives those of us truly interested in this topic to provide specific funding.
Thanks for the response Victoria. So if you can clarify, how does this get our Government to acknowledge and disclose the truth they've been hiding regarding ET and UFO files?
The only content being published comes out of the group of members this would form, not from the government. The only connection this info seems to have with the government is that it is on the city web site, but it is not put there by city officials. It is only what the group decides to put there. So how is that government disclosure?
And how is it better from the same group of people putting it on one of the many private web sites already dealing with this?
Well, while the Commission won't guarantee that disclosure will take place, it does take a first step in government involvement on the topic; forced from the grassroots effort as it is...
Good Job. Please make more ignorant comments to laugh at. I love it. Peace.
But that's just the thing: there doesn't seem to be any government involvement. It just lets the group publish what it wants on the city web site. And I looked over the imitative, and it says nothing at all about forcing, requiring, or even requesting disclosure. So I still don't get it.
Since the Commission hasn't been voted in yet, there is no way to measure the level of government involvement. We will have to wait and see what the Denver voters choose...
You rock, Jeff!!! Thanks so much for all you do to help transform our world. I hope to see you at Laughlin next year.
But voting the issue in change won't change what is in the initiative - that is, no government involvement, other than allowing the commission to put their opinions on the city web site.
Unless, by "first step", you mean it starts to give more credibility to the ET movement by having the public see information about ETs on a government web site, even though there was no government involvement to generating or "disclosing" that information?
If so, THEN I get it!
Congratulations to you, Jeff, and your team. Your leadership stand in recognizing the truth, taking responsibility, facing the realities of a changing world and the continuos, on going Extraterrestrial presence, on Earth. Demonstrates the change of leadership that is need in the 21st century for the Denver, the United States and a progressive world. I have been working with Jeff since he asked me to be his advisor, knowing I am a CSETI /Disclosure Project Representative. Some of Jeff's team are also CSETI members of the Colorado CSETI working group that I have been leading. Dr. Steven M. Greer M.D. Founder and Director of the Center for the Study of Extraterrestrial Intelligence (CSETI) and the Disclosure Project has been a supporter of Jeff Peckman and the EAC Ballot Initiative. Dr. Greer and CSETI have been working with the Obama Administration, other countries and the United Nations.

Acting as that country's official diplomatic representative to the many extraterrestrial civilizations CSETI has established peaceful diplomatic relations with over the past 17 years. I look forward to working with you Jeff and your team creating the needed progress in an ever changing world. Dr. Greer and I both hope the election goes well for the Extraterrestrial Affairs Commission and the world leadership position you and Denver will take.
Sincerely,
Ricky Butterfass
Dr. Greer is in official negotiations with and has received letter of intent from a G-7 nation.
Here is how they are dealing with a "UFO hotline" in England that has been collecting offical reports of sightings;
LONDON Britain's military has closed a hotline that took reports of unidentified flying objects, or UFOs.
The Ministry of Defense says that the phone service and an associated e-mail address were taken offline Tuesday.
The military explained Friday that more than 50 years of UFO sightings had not revealed any evidence of alien life or threats to the U.K.
It said that there was "no defense value in investigating UFO reports" and that the money could better be used funding operations in Afghanistan.
The officer who used to deal with the reports has now been reassigned.
That kind of shows how the "Disclosure" is working by collecting reports of sightings... Maybe this really is a waste time/money
Congratulations, Jeff. and everyone who made this possible. You are to be saluted for your efforts to bring this to a vote of the people. This initiative is a big step forward. The City of Denver will now be the focus of attention... Now is the time. We the People, are at the dawn of a new age. Having worked in local government, I know that successful initiatives are adapted by other local governments almost word for word. I hope this spreads like a wild fire to other cities and counties, This is a win-win for the People, with no financial burden to the city of Denver. Hopefully, the local grass roots effort started here will spread to other branches of government . A giant step for mankind as we realize " We are not alone. "
If this costs just 1 single tax payer dollar than it is the biggest waste of tax money in history.
FEDup....
Unfortunately it's too late. We have already spent that much.
That does not account for the reputation that the City & State have to deal with either.
Part of one of Peckmans e-mails:
Overall, the mainstream news media seems to be treating the ballot initiative even better than before, and the "opposition" is not getting traction at all. The names of the RMPRS and their two "leaders", do not come up at all in Google News search.
Just seems to be a good sign.
Thank you again for all your support.
Jeff
The RMPRS and its leaders are still here keeping an eye on you.
Apparently you dont know how to use Google, the stories & blogs with us in them has not stopped. In fact, there are more than ever. Google Rocky Mountain Paranormal sometime.
It looks like you are trying to make some big claims without research again
I didn't realize there was an organized opposition to the initiative. Though, with all the failed attempts in the past to get this on the ballot, and the 1000 signature shortage on this last try, and with over 50% of the final signatures either fake or invalid (even after paying people to collect them), it sounds to me like the primary opposition is the general public?
Got something to say?
