The extended promo for "The Vampire Diaries" episode 4x12, "A View to a Kill," was released late on Thursday.
The plot is definitely thickening for our favorite vampires and next week's preview couldn't come fast enough. Everyone is going to be fighting with each other, especially family members, it seems.
As the synopsis reveals, first, Rebekah (Claire Holt) raises the tensions with Klaus (Joseph Morgan) when she turns him down on putting a stop to their brother Kol (Nathaniel Buzolic) to protect Jeremy (Steven R. McQueen). This will make Klaus turn to Stefan (Paul Wesley) for help.
Then, Bonnie (Kat Graham) and her father, Mayor Hopkins (Rick Worthy), have an angry showdown when he wants to end the violence in Mystic Falls in an unconventional way. Right after this confrontation, Bonnie runs into Kol, who approaches her with some threats.
Meanwhile, Klaus makes things even more complicated between Stefan and Damon (Ian Somerhalder) by revealing secrets about Stefan's personal life. Elena (Nina Dobrev) spills her plan to Stefan about having Jeremy kill Kol, which leaves him in a difficult position.
Lastly, it looks like Stefan's promise of leaving any feelings out of his new relationship with Rebekah won't last long when he makes it up to her after the high school dance gets canceled.

DANGEROUS LIAISONS — When Rebekah (Claire Holt) turns down Klaus’ (Joseph Morgan) plea to stop Kol (Nathaniel Buzolic) and protect Jeremy (Steven R. McQueen), Klaus turns to Stefan (Paul Wesley) for help. After an angry confrontation with her father, Mayor Hopkins (guest star Rick Worthy), over his unconventional approach to ending the violence in Mystic Falls, Bonnie (Kat Graham) has a frightening run-in with Kol, followed by an unexpected visitor. Klaus complicates the already tense feelings between Stefan and Damon (Ian Somerhalder) by revealing a bit of Stefan’s personal life, then surprises Damon by asking for personal advice. Elena (Nina Dobrev) tells Stefan about her dangerous plan for Jeremy, leaving Stefan in a difficult spot. When the high school’s 1980s Decade Dance is cancelled by Mayor Hopkins, Stefan finds a charming way to make it up to a disappointed Rebekah.
