Klaus and Damon are trying their hardest to make Jeremy into quite the vampire hunter and to grow his mark in "The Vampire Diaries" season 4, and as the CW's extended promo for "Catch Me If You Can," released Friday, Jan. 18, shows, that means putting him in a situation where he has no choice but to kill more vampires.
In this next "Vampire Diaries" episode, Jeremy (Steven R. McQueen) gets angry when Klaus (Joseph Morgan) puts Matt (Zach Roerig) in danger in order to control him, and Damon (Ian Somerhalder) will be coaching him to take on those new vampires Klaus created. However, Kol (Nathaniel Buzolic) is going to beat them to it; he's determined to stop them from finding the cure and will stop at nothing. Kol and Rebekah learned that Shane (David Alpay) plans to release Silas in "After School Special," and he knows what that would mean; Silas would kill them all. Meanwhile, Rebekah (Claire Holt) and Stefan's (Paul Wesley) new partnership is going to continue, with her reminding him of the past. Sheriff Forbes (Marguerite MacIntyre) and Mayor Hopkins (Rick Worthy) will be questioning Shane about his role in the Founders' Council deaths, and Bonnie (Kat Graham) is going to have her own questions. However, Shane's answers will end up pushing her to the edge of her powers. Finally, Elena (Nina Dobrev) tries to negotiate with Klaus, but once an unexpected enemy brings danger, she has to come up with her own plan to keep her brother safe.
As the extended promo for "Catch Me If You Can" shows, Klaus wants Jeremy to finish the mark—and he has compelled all those new vampires from the bar to essentially give the young hunter no choice in the matter. But they're not the only ones in the woods with Jeremy; will they make it to the house in time? Is that part of Elena's plan? And who has come up behind Jeremy as the preview ends?
"The Vampire Diaries" season 4 airs Thursdays at 8 p.m. on the CW. What do you think of the extended "Catch Me If You Can" promo?
