In July 2011, The Brush Bar held their grand opening and it has been bustling ever since. This place is a little gem that offers more than a place to relax with a glass of wine. The Brush Bar is a new wine bar concept where guests are presented with a smock, paints, a canvas and an art instructor.
While patrons enjoy their glasses of wine, they learn to paint in a cheerful and sociable atmosphere. At the end of the event, emerging artists take their colorful canvas home to hang on the wall.
The Brush Bar is an innovative concept and the local owners, Angelo and Gia Ciliento and Brett Strachan landed a perfect location in downtown Scottsdale. Who isn’t looking for something interesting and different when they head out for the evening?
The Brush Bar is walking distance from numerous Scottsdale restaurants and shops. This offers the ability to plan an entire afternoon or evening. There is a parking garage which eliminates the stress of parking downtown.
The Brush Bar offers open studio time as well as instructional time so check the calendar on their website to decide what time is best to visit. The calendar contains pictures of what guests will learn to paint during each session and there’s a variety of paintings to choose from. Sunday mornings are a delightful time to visit. The charming staff will set out pastries and serve mimosas while you whisk your brush across the canvas. What a way to start the day!
Reservations are needed since those that know about the Brush Bar are repeat customers and classes fill up quickly. As the wine flows and people get comfortable expressing their creativity, the room fills with laughter. Popular music is played that keeps things lively. New friendships blossom and talent and creativity are unleashed.
Children are welcome during family time and The Brush Bar also can host special events such as bridal showers, baby showers and birthdays. A teenage birthday event would be a fantastic idea and the staff could definitely bring out the creative side in anyone. The Brush Bar is not only fun but healthy for the mind and soul.
