I was just found out about a Detroit based group on Flickr (thank you Mark at Camera Mart). For those that are not aware, Flickr is probably the best and certainly the largest online photo sharing website. Flickr is a great place to post and view images of all kinds. More on Flickr in a later article.

EXPOSURE.DETROIT exists for the the benefits of it's members and produces multiple events. ED is open to photographers of all levels and a Flickr pro account is encouraged. Bobby Alcott and Joey Kennedy founded ED and there are many events and exhibitions. Part I: Charter

ED on Flickr

The site has over 25,000 photos an almost 1800 members. When I viewed it, the page had shots from Detroit, Romeo and Paris, shots of masks, barns and weddings. In Current News and Events is an invitation to a Woodward shoot, the next show and weekly events. The discussion board appears to be very active.

This looks like a vibrant site encouraging and celebrating Detroit photography and photographers. I'm joining.
