Chakras are present whether you are aware of them or not. You could very well have another name for it. There are seven of them and they are your body's energy centers; they are the channels that your energy flow through. Chakras can be open or closed, balanced or imbalanced.
The first Chakra is the root. It's located at the base of your spine, in your groin area. It has everything to do with your sense of belonging and security. It's what keeps you grounded. The ultimate failure of this energy center is suicide. On the other hand, a balanced Root Chakra is highlighted by you genuinely loving your life! Let's explore:
Signs of an imbalanced Root Chakra are:
- Lack of energy
- Feeling unsupported/insignificant
- Lacking a clear career focus
- Aggressive behavior/rage
- Eating disorders
- Job-related stress/worry
- Lacking financial independence
- A careless attitude
- Holding onto the past
- Lack of sexual interest
- Inability to manifest your goals
On the other hand, signs of a balanced Root Chakra include:
- Overall good health
- Lots of energy
- Being happy in your career
- Easily letting go of things (and people) that don't serve you
- Healthy sex life
- Feeling safe and secure
Because the Chakras affect both your personal and professional life, it's important to learn about them, check in with them frequently, and find a way to maintain alignment that works for you! That could mean journaling, group sessions, regular meditation and prayer, yoga, therapy, lifestyle adjustments, etc.
