Twitter has become the thing in social media. Followers can access Instagram photos, Tumbler, Facebook and Whosay posts all in one place. Hashtags have invaded everything from Facebook to Subway commercials. While most media raves about whom is in a twitter war with whom, and what new selfie Riri (musical artist Rihanna) has posted; Twitter offers a significant amount of content for those who don't follow US Weekly.

Trending on Twitter right now is #NewMusic. Interscope Records posted picture from the picture vinyl release of Lady Gaga's new albumn 'Artpop' which was released the day after Thanksgiving as part of Record Store Day's Back to Black Friday [https://twitter.com/Interscope/status/406536121506889728/photo/1] .Also on Twitter is the Black Friday remix by Justin Timberlake [http://www.asapmob.com/2013/11/new-music-justin-timberlake-tko-black-fri.... It is a good bet that your favorite band has a Twitter account, plus individual band members who will post everything from picture of the coffee they had in the morning, to updates from being on tour. Check out @neontrees, @BiffyClyro, @VNV_Nation, @flo_tweet (Florence Welch of Florence and the Machine), @Avicii, or @jimmyeatworld.

Your favorite television shows are also on Twitter. @OnceABC is the official Twitter account of ABC show Once Upon a Time. It offers fans links to its Facebook content, including sneak peaks and promotional photos. AMC show Breaking Bad has a Twitter account @BreakingBad_AMC which retweets fan photos and posts from actors Bryan Cranston (Walter White) and Aaron Paul (Jesse Pinkman). Also check out @bbcdoctorwho, @GameofThrones, @WalkingDead_AMC, @AgentsofSHIELD, and @BeingHumanSyfy.

Actor Tom Hiddleston (@twhiddleston) posted pictures of himself from various locations during the promotional tour for Thor 2 with such hashtags as #LokiInChina and #LokiInLondon. He also uses Twitter to actively support UNICEF. Actors Stephen Fry (@stephenfry) and George Takei (@georgetakei) have huge Twitter followings and post just about everything. If you are a fan of comic books check out @TheRealStanLee, author Neil Gaiman (@neilhimself) and @DCComics.

Go ahead, get on Twitter and search for your favorite pop cultures icons. They are probably there.
