Today, science teachers in Maryland have the chance to share breaking news about space exploration with their students. NASA's LCross moon mission to hunt for signs of water was declared a success at about 7:30 am ESt this morning.

Teachers can find photos and videos showing the impact through NASA's LCross mission page or on the LCross website.

Discussion topics can include:

  1. Past space missions.
  2. The moon's surface.
  3. The definition of a crater and how the mission created a new man-made crater.
