Explore Portland's Urban Wineries

While Portland has developed an international reputation for it's craft breweries, one can also find vintners producing wines within the city's limits. Whether one chooses to travel by car, cab, bus, bike or foot, pay a visit to their tasting rooms and sample their variety of wines including Pinot Noir, Syrah, Tempranillo, Pinot Blanc, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Zinfandel, as well as unique red and white wine blends.

While one can visit the PDX Urban Wineries whenever their tasting rooms are open, check out their quarterly Urban Wine Weekends for an opportunity to join other wine lovers to experience special selections and the latest releases from Portland vintners. The next PDX Urban Wine Weekend will be held on May 17-18, 2014.

Also, check out their Annual PDX Urban Wine Experience, which will take place this year on Sunday June 8th from 3pm to 6pm at Refuge PDX in SE Portland. This event will feature all 11 winery members, each pouring up to 3 wines. Admission is $40 per person ($32 if tickets pre-purchase by June 1st) and includes wine tasting, small bites by Crown Paella, and offerings from a few outside vendors. Included in this passport is complimentary tastings at the aforementioned PDX Urban Wineries, winery profiles and tasting notes, maps and touring information, a $5 gift card and more tastings, discounts, and incentives at over twenty partners.

(Those who want to sample the city's spirits, can pick up the Distillery Row Passport, which provides tastings at six distilleries, as well as discounts and incentives with more than 40 partners.
