Local San Diegans frequent a great spot that is sometimes missed by visitors to San Diego: Paradise Point. It is an Island Resort, and offers so much more than simply a resort location.
The grounds at Paradise Point are worth exploring, with over 8 miles of paths in and around the resort and the bay front. Since it is off the beaten path, it is also not as crowded as others areas around, such as Mission Bay and Belmont Park.
Once you explore the grounds, make sure to check out a couple of choices at Paradise Point for entertainment.
Paradise Surf Academy provides lessons for surfing, whether you are a beginner or advanced surfer. The Surf Academy provides both the surf boards and wetsuits if you decide to try your hand at the very popular local water sport. Classes are held daily at 12:30 pm. You will also see San Diegans out in the bay on their sailboat, kayak or SUP around the Point.
If you are ready to grab a bite, head over to the Barefoot Bar and Grill along the waterfront. The views of Mission Bay add to the ambiance of this local favorite. This Wednesday, November 6, be sure to experience Barefoot's partnership with a local brewery for Beer Week.
Of course, you can also stay at the San Diego Island Resort on Paradise Point, with seasonal specials happening now.
Explore Paradise Point and see what locals already know - this is just like living in paradise.
