Experience wildlife sounds in the night at Irvine Nature Center (Photos)

As the winter season changes to spring, life begins to awaken once more, announcing its arrival by breaking the winter silence. Soon there will be birds singing and crickets chirping. The sound returns in subtle ways, but you need listen carefully. Irvine Nature Center is the place to do it.

Peeps in the Night
On Friday, March 1 from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., the Irvine Nature Center is offering Peeps in the Night, a program suitable for ages 6 and over with an adult. Pre-registration is required as walk-ins are not allowed. You can register online by clicking here.

Nature is filled with many wonderful sounds created by her creatures throughout the seasons. In the winter time it is eerily quiet, although those sounds return once more as winter ends. The Irvine Nature Center invites families on an evening stroll through the meadow, listening to the “music” of the night.

You will be enchanted by the sounds of, “spring peepers, woodcocks, barred owls, and more.” Remember to dress for the season as it may be chilly.
