In the past citizens of Cassadaga have discouraged the general public from flocking to their town each Halloween. The Florida town is famous around the world for it’s spiritualist community and paranormal activity. The town of Cassadaga was founded by George Coby who said he was guided to build the community in Florida by his spirit guide Seneca. It has long been the place to be for folks seeking a ghost sighting , good scare, a seance or a palm reading.
Over the years the traffic on Halloween had become out of control with vandalism on the local graveyards being a large problem. All this traffic and vandalism caused the town to make it known the public was not welcome. This year the town has had a change of heart and decided if you can’t beat em, join em!
Cassadaga has opened up it’s gates this Halloween to welcome ghost hunters and thrill seekers for it’s festivities. Among the bone chilling events will be the “haunted walk” which takes guests through a Castle, past ghosts and goblins to the land of no return. Visitors can also visit the Colby Temple , and step into the seance room.
One word of caution... don’t even think about heading into the real graveyard. The local police are out in “full force” with citations already filled out for anyone who decides to trespass this year. So come join Cassadaga for one of their planned paranormal activities this year!
