Experience Hendrix announces Northern California dates

The Experience Hendrix tours have proven themselves over the years to offer blues and rock fans an abundance of musical riches. Not only do the shows involve a crack band performing the late legend’s signature work – and some comparatively obscure tracks to boot – but the featured guitarists are among the finest blues and blues-rock players out there.
The 2014 lineup and the dates they’ll play have just been announced and there is plenty of good news in that for Northern California blues fans. Experience Hendrix arrives in the region this fall for dates October 14 in Santa Cruz, October 15 in Santa Rosa, October 16 in Davis and October 18 in Oakland. The guitarists in question include Buddy Guy, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Jonny Lang, Doyle Bramhall III, Eric Johnson, Ana Popovic and Eric Gales.

The tour evokes the era when artists treated each performance as a unique interaction with their audience. Jimi Hendrix called this his "electric church." The Experience Hendrix Tour fully embraces this approach, presenting multiple opportunities for performers and audiences to witness unique collaborations among the participating artists, and will highlight these artists performing their favorite Hendrix signature songs including “Little Wing,” “Fire,” “Purple Haze” and “Voodoo Child (Slight Return).”
