Experience an eco adventure zip line ride over the Mojave desert

How do you combine the thrill of a roller coaster ride and sustainable practices?  Bootleg Canyon Flightlines developed by Greenheart LLC, did just that in Boulder City (just a short drive outside of Las Vegas).

Bootleg Canyon Flightlines is a zip line attraction that was built by Greenheart LLC, a company who specializes in “no trace aerial systems,” around the world.  Greenheart recently opened Flightline at the San Diego Zoo's Wild Animal Park with part of the net revenue going to support the California Condor re-generation program. Greenheart also built Labadee Zipline in Haiti for Royal Caribbean, the Cross River State Canopy Walkway in Nigeria, Iwokrama Canopy Walkway in Guyana and they own and operate the Greenheart Canopy Walkway at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver as part of a sustainable educational tourism project.

Greenheart developed Bootleg Canyon Flightlines as part of their effort to create sustainable and profitable parks around the world. The Bootleg Canyon Project was developed to demonstrate the value of investing in nature and to provide guests with a unique ride experience using the sensation of flight.

The zip line consists of several lines that make up 4 flight paths that stretch over one and a half miles.  Small groups begin at the top of Red Mountain and ride the zip lines down at speeds of up to 50 mph.  This is safely done while being secured by professional guides, in a para-gliding harness.  The total experience takes about two and a half hours.

Labeled as an “eco-adventure” you can traverse over the Mojave desert without leaving a trace of your journey.  This concept as an attraction has been adopted from the practical use of zip lines and platforms to study dense terrain and rain forest canopies without damaging the environment below.

Be extreme and green and take a flight over the Mojave desert. Experience the sensation of flight with the only aerial trail system in Nevada over the beautiful Bootleg Canyon in Boulder City and support a company who’s mission is to promote sustainable practices throughout the world.
