Disney parks are known for their themed rides. Most of all the rides at Disney World and Disneyland have a theme. My favorite park is at Walt Disney World the Magic Kingdom but that is not where my favorite ride is located. My favorite ride is in Walt Disney Worlds Animal Kingdom Park. The park itself is greatly themed with Africa, Discovery Island Camp Minnie-Mickey, Oasis, DinoLand USA, Rifiki’s Planet Watch and of course Asia. My favorite ride is in Asia. Can you guess what it is? Yes Expedition Everest –Legend of the Forbidden Mountain! It is wonderfully themed as if you are going on an expedition yourself, with artifacts from the journey to find the Yeti deep in the mountain. You walk through a museum of Yeti and Himalayan artifacts. There is close to 8000 artifacts in this museum so it gives you plenty to look at while you wind your way through the queue to the train you will board for your adventure into the mountain.
I don’t want to give the ride away for those who have yet to ride Expedition Everest. So I won’t go into detail of the ride other than to say it is one of the best and most popular rides at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. There are fastpass machines and single rider lines for those who don’t want to wait in to long of a line. So if you are brave enough check out the ride the next time you are at Walt Disney World and visit the Animal Kingdom. Oh and say hi to the Yeti for me!
