An expectant couple was killed in a car crash in New York City early Sunday while on the way to a hospital to have their first child, a baby boy who was delivered at the scene of the accident and survived.
According to the Associated Press, Nathan and Raizy Glauber, both 21 and Orthodox Jews, were using a car service to go to the hospital when another vehicle crashed into the side of theirs at an intersection in Kent Avenue and Wilson Street in Brooklyn.
The Associated Press and the New York Post reported that Nathan Glauber was pronounced dead at Beth Israel Hospital, while his wife Raizy died at Bellevue.
After the couple's son was delivered at the scene, he was taken to a hospital where he is in serious condition.
Meanwhile, the driver of the vehicle that crashed into the couple's car fled, and police say no arrests have yet been made.
Police said the condition of the car service's driver is unclear.
