One of our favorite little local spas is debuting a menu of luxuriously delicious treatments that are just about an hour’s drive from Los Angeles, or a quick ride on the Amtrak. L'Auberge at L'Auberge Del Mar, by Destination Hotels & Resorts is offering series of sensual Spa Rituals inspired by healing practices from around the world.
The exotic treatments, designed to take you on a journey around the world, include:

Guests sink into a warming therapeutic full body massage with a healing blend of cardamom, sandalwood, sweet orange and jasmine, followed by a deeply moisturizing tangerine and fig butter. The body is left rejuvenated and limber, drenched in scent and moisture. The 80-mionute treatment costs $185 or you can book 110 minutes for $250.
- Japan Ritual—picture yourself in a Japanese bath house as your body is gently exfoliated by a bamboo ginger-grass scrub ad softened with cherry rice blossoms. This is followed by a massage with wild lime and plum blossoms precede a gentle wrap to seal in the healing. Therapists use simple movements based on Japanese Meridian massage while blending layers of exceptional ingredients and pure scents deeply into the skin. The treatment is offered in 80 minutes for $185 or 110 minutes for $250.
- Moroccanoil Head to Toe—an astral-projection into Morocco happens during this salubrious session which employs the healing power of Argan oil that helps to nourish, hydrate and improve skin tone and texture.
