Exonerated Brian Banks signs with Atlanta Falcons

At the age of 27 Brian Banks is getting a second chance.

Back in 2002 as a high school junior his life was turned upside down when he was wrongfully accused and convicted of rape. As a result he spent five years in prison and another five years on probation registered as a sex-offender.

In an interview that aired on 60 minutes in March of 2013 Brian Banks story indicated that in May of 2012 he was exonerated by the same judge who had convicted him. How did this happen? The same woman who accused him of the rape is the same woman who admitted he was innocent.

At this point Banks is moving forward with his life in an attempt to build a relationship with the NFL team that has recently given him a chance.

According to news sources the Atlanta Falcons have signed him but he still must prove himself to make the 53-man roster.

With his once shattered dream now a real possibility there is no one who hears his story who will not keep him in their prayers. Anyone who believes knows that with determination and faith anything is possible.
