REALTORS at EXIT Success Realty, in Warner Robins, GA have been donating and collecting items to be included in care packages for our troops overseas. The boxes will be packaged at EXIT Success Realty on Satuday August 30th, at 1pm, and shipped out of Robins Air Force Base a few days later. Volunteers are invited to attend and help pack all the supplies. Also, donations are still being accepted this week at EXIT's office at 225 Smithville Church Rd.

The idea for the care packages was launched by 9 year old Alyssa Skinner, the founder of the non-profit organization "Alyssa's Birthday Wish." In lieu of presents or a birthday party, when she turns 10 this month, Alyssa requested donations to send overseas. Not a typical birthday wish from a 9 year old girl, but Alyssa is truly special.

According to her Facebook page, she wanted to... "share my birthday with military men and women who cant be home with their families." Alyssa also wanted to provide some happiness and comfort to those men and women who can't share special occassions with their loved ones.

Trent Mathis, a US Marine Corp Veteran and REALTOR with EXIT, was very moved by Alyssa's mission. "When I heard what she wanted to do, I was so impressed. A young girl giving up her birthday to support our troops really touched me and reminded me of the packages I received when I was overseas. I knew I had to do everything I could to help her out."

Trent was helpful in providing a list of items soldiers would need and also made a large donation.
