Luxurious Exhale spa has been revamping. Last month, Exhale Santa Monica launched a new yoga program by inviting the public to enjoy free yoga classes. Today Exhale threw a free party from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. to celebrate the opening of their new spa in Hollywood at 1755 North Highland.
Situated on the roof at Loews Hotel, Exhale Hollywood has taken over the gorgeous space Spa Luce once graced. Although the party was free, reservations were required. Cosmos, spa coolers, and champagne were flowing when we checked in this afternoon. Delicious herbal and botanical mood mixers from Altar were also available (Bliss was, well, blissful!). Lots of women and a few men nibbled on finger sandwiches, ahi tuna appetizers, fresh fruit, and pretty pastries. The real draw, however, was the complimentary spa treatments: mini massages, brow waxing, and mini manicures.
While I was waiting to be pampered, I spotted Kendra Wilkinson's husband, Hank Baskett. I assumed he was waiting for the former playmate to emerge from a treatment room, but Hank told me he was on his own. The friendly football star revealed that the new season of Kendra On Top starts shooting next week, and he mentioned that the show has moved from E! to WE. "You won't even recognize him," Hank said about his cute two-year-old son. "He's grown so much!"
Exhale therapist, Leo, loosened up my back with a mini massage (30 minutes normally start at $95). Then, Nadia skillfully cleaned up my brows (waxings or tweezings run $40). Since the wait for a mani was another 45 minutes, I skipped it, but it was fun to find a tiny bottle of Spa Ritual's Deep Shimmer nail lacquer in my goodie bag!
Besides polish, the handy Rent The Runway reusable goodie carry-all was filled with a copy of the February issue of Angeleno, a Kind bar, a Nature's Bounty Complete Protein and Vitamin Shake Mix, Actifirm Decollete Firm, Sebastian shampoo and Potion 9 Lite.
