Whether it's running, walking, or biking, the Alderman's Ford Park trail is the place to be.
The 1.8 mile paved trail is perfect for low impact biking, speed walking, or running. Even better for running is the offroad trail. This particular park is well maintained, and a beautiful place for outdoor fitness fun.
The paved trail also includes several exercise stops. Some of the suggested exercises are stretches like the leg extension, while other stops include a roman chair for lower back workouts, a decline bench with foot holders for sit ups, and steps for step-ups.
Some people don't enjoy lifting weights, or may have a physical anomaly preventing them from doing so, and for these people a park is one of the best ways to enjoy the Florida environment while staying fit. Others love to work out in groups, so the trails at Alderman's Ford provide the perfect social experience combined with the best fitness experience all under a gorgeous canopy.
The park is open from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Come by early before to beat the heat, or come by after work when the sun is setting. It's never too early or late to stay fit.
Consult your physician before starting a new exercise regimen.
