Odds are if you’re in Memphis you’ll be facing BBQ!
Here are some tips when facing the succulent, delicious, slow cooked delicacy:
• Eat a BBQ salad – the meat and veggies go down together so easy!
• When eating meat, stay away from the bread, chips, fries and beans – carbohydrates /starches that make digestion a bitch when being processed with proteins!
• Wash it down with water or some good southern iced tea – if you have to have beer, be sure to moderate your intake. Instead of a gluttonous 6 or 12 – enjoy a sensible 1 or 2!
You’ll see that eating your BBQ on or with a nice salad is the best way to really enjoy it, because:
A. You won’t get indigestion
B. The cold lettuce really compliments the meat more so than the hot greasy fries
Don’t let gatherings and events keep you sedentary!
Be creative and enjoy some action! Talk and walk with family and friends! Play some horseshoes or yard darts!
If you insist on Living Dead In Memphis and must continue to smoke, at least be courteous and make sure you respect others space who are exercising their healthy independence!
Relax and enjoy the fireworks!
This Saturday night while watching UFC 116 keep your individual health guard up!
Think: "If I were a fighter, what weight class would I be in? Would I want to be a heavyweight and have to face off with Brock Lesnar or Shane Carwin?" God NO!
