There are quite a few directions to in when trying to recover from a mental illness. Everybody is different and each person has their own hobbies they like to participate in. There is not anything in particular that is bad as long as it focuses on a positive outcome. All people have many talents and interests, so the spectrum is wide open. However, one thing that is completely necessary is some type of physical exercise.
Of course, some people may be limited on how much physical activity they can do. But for the most part, exercise is quite essential when a mental illness is at hand. It doesn't have to be very strenuous at all. Keep it simple at first. Try and move the muscles that need to be moved in order for you're body and mind to respond better. Try and understand that on a daily basis the body requires this. Not only will this help with the illness, it will make you feel healthier also.
Exercise is and always will be a great benefit in life. This is especially true when trying to overcome illnesses that have to do with the mind.
Remember: Start Slow, find you're limits, and continue day by day. It will only produce positive results.
