Exercise programs how to stick with it

Everyone has good intentions when you start exercise programs and you want to stick with it because you know it’s good for you, but you know that there are going to be times when you don’t want to do it anymore. There are also many reasons why people quit exercise programs, your too tired, or you don’t have enough time or a number of other reasons. This article will give you ways not to quit your exercise programs and reach your goals and beyond.

When you start exercise programs you will have one main goal like lose 30 pounds or be able to run a marathon or whatever your goal may be, you need to have that long term goal but to make sure you can reach the goals of your exercise programs, you need to have small step goals along the way to show progress and to make sure you are seeing positive results.

If you are feeling like skipping your exercise programs or just don’t have the drive to get going, go online and read about exercise programs and the workout you are wanting to skip like weight lifting or biking or running etc, whatever it is your not feeling like doing read about it and it will inspire you to go workout just from reading about doing it. I read about many things at night and I often feel like going and working out again sometimes because I get pumped up reading about others exercise programs.

Change up your exercise programs, don’t get bored with your workout, if you’re running, ride a bike instead for a week or two. If you’re bored with your exercise programs, change all the exercises or go to calisthenics and body weight only for a week or two to put variety in the workout.

Buy yourself something new for working out. Get yourself a new piece of workout equipment, or a new pair of shoes, or a new pair of gloves. If you get something new you will have new motivation to use.

Get a partner to work out with that will push you and keep you motivated. There is a good chance that your workout partner will be pumped to workout when you are not and you will be pumped to workout when your partner is not so you will motivate each other.

Take a break for a week and don’t work out at all. Take a week off from your exercise program but don’t let it go longer or you will have a hard time getting back into it and you will get very sore.

Do something you think that is more than what you think you can do. If you are a runner and you think you can only run a 5K, try to do a 10K, if you’re a biker try to do a 50 mile or 100 mile ride, etc. Something to fire you up if you do it, or motivate you to do better if you can’t. Just don’t quit.
