The world will always mourn that no one got the chance to see Michael Jackson perform live one last time. After a 10 year hiatus, he was scheduled to start touring in Summer 2009 with 50 stops scheduled. His first stop was the London O2 Arena. During his final days before his untimely death, he had been busy making final preparations. In Michael Jackson's This Is It, all his hard work from concept to finished product is captured during the months from April to June 2009. The film gives the audience a glimpse of the more than 100 hours of behind-the-scenes footage that was taped of the rehearsals. A lost genius can clearly been seen through his singing, dancing and filmmaking. It is a must watch for all Michael Jackson and music fans.

If you plan to order overseas, remember Europe and Japan's DVDs are Region 2. Japan's Blu-rays have Region A coding, same as USA. However, Europe's Blu-rays are generally Region B. Australia's DVDs are Region 4 and Blu-rays are generally Region B. Unless you have a region-free DVD or Blu-ray player, you will not be able to play the discs that are not coded the same as the USA discs. Sometimes overseas blu-rays may be region-free, but that is not a guarantee. Always check here to see if a Blu-ray is region-free prior to ordering.
As always, these exclusives are limited and may run out quick. So order early and sit back relaxed knowing you are all set! Check out the slideshow to see more of these exclusives.

does the walmart limited edition features the unfinished rehearsals?
Albert, I have added information in the article regarding all the features that will be included in both DVD and Blu-ray versions. The second part of Staging The Return does include some footage of the rehearsals leading to the last day before Michael Jackson's death. No information has been released on what the Walmart limited edition features will be yet. Check back here as I will continue to post as I get more information.
Oh ok. Thanks you! I will check your next post later on when more info is revealed.
Albert, since there is much information regarding this release, I have made a list of all the features in this article: 'Michael Jackson's This Is It' DVD and Blu-ray features and best deals (www.examiner.com/examiner/x-34131-NY-DVD-Examiner~y2010m1d21-Michael-Jacksons-This-Is-It-DVD-and-Bluray-features-and-best-deals). I hope that is helpful to you!
Albert, the Walmart exclusive has the following features:
Walmart - Meet the Dancers, Meet the Bands, Meet the Vocalists, & The Unfinished Rehearsals
Hello!
Do you happen to know if the amazon.de ultimate fan edition is on german? I mean the booklet, etc, will it be written in german or english? Really want this version, but can't read german! :)
Hope you answer!
Great article, thanks for weeding thru all the info out there.
Jess, thank you. Feel free to subscribe as I will continue to be covering many DVD and Blu-ray exclusives for future releases.
Pentum, from my past experience, many German booklets are written in German. However, this is a photo booklet so the primary focus will be photos. You can always use Google Translate (google.com/translate) to help you read the booklet. Indeed it is the best deal with everything. Plus the Blu-ray disc will play in Region A, B and C players so you should be all set!
Annie, thanks again. I'll be getting this one for sure. It maye become the rarest one in some years, I dunno.
Am I right when I say the Dancing Machine extras is on the german one as well? I heard that only Europe will get the unfinished rehearsal (dangerous, SIIM or something). What's your thoughts about this?
Pentum, you're quite welcome. Glad to help with any questions.
Check here for list of all the features for German release:

And to answer your question, yes the German version has The Unfinished Rehearsals. The Walmart USA DVD exclusive also has it in the bonus disc (DVD format).
I think that as time passes, this will become a collectible item for Michael Jackson fans. Also it is a rare glimpse into the last days before his passing and a great documentary on the rehearsals. It really does showcase his amazing creativity and dedication as a musician.
If you haven't subscribed yet, please do as I will continue to cover new exclusives for many movie releases. Also, if you ever have a question about any movie releases on DVD/Blu-ray, please feel free to ask and I will try my best to help out.
Thank you for your time, Annie (you are okay, you are okay, Annie) :)
You're quite welcome Pentum. LOL :)
thank you
