Stephenie LaGrossa is a longtime "Survivor" fan favorite, but this season she fell victim to a dominant alliance and a ridiculously angry guy by the name of James Clement.
I talked to the "Palau" and "Guatemala" veteran on Friday afternoon about her experiences on "Survivor: Heroes vs. Villains."

Matt Carter: Was it an easy decision for you go back into "Survivor" after all of these years?
Stephenie LaGrossa: It was an immediate decision. It was just tough because I had just gotten engaged to my fiance, [Philadelphia Phillies pitcher] Kyle Kendrick. It was bittersweet to leave him. Having not done it, though, I would have totally regretted it.
Matt: Was your shoulder hurting you much after that initial challenge?
Stephenie: It was obviously sore, and it wasn't as strong as it would have been had it not been dislocated, but I've dislocated my shoulder before and I know how to deal with it. The fact that I couldn't set it in on my own was the problem, that medical had to come out. I did everything I could to not draw attention to myself, because I didn't want to give them any reason to vote me out.
Matt: Looking across the board at the casting, is there anyone you wanted to see that didn't make it? On the other hand, who were you surprised to see?
Stephenie: I wanted to see Tina Wesson, Jenna [Morasca], Ethan [Zohn], I wanted to see more of the old-timers. I really enjoyed the show much more in the old days. I really don't know why Danielle was there, I didn't know Candice. I didn't really watch the season Tyson was on, or Coach, or Courtney, or JT. Of course, none of us knew Russell. There were a lot of those new faces, a lot of that sort of "L.A. alliance" and the "Micronesia" alliance. They definitely could have mixed it up a little more with people who knew each other a little less. I knew Tom and that was it. Colby knew Rupert and Rob and Jerri but they weren't all together...that was sort of a problem, I thought.
Matt: Do you think the Heroes Tribe will have trouble as long as James is there shouting and acting out?
Stephenie: You know what? With the egos they have on that tribe, I do. It's going to be a problem. James and Rupert are two people who think extremely high of themselves, and the think higher of themselves than anyone else or any fan does. It's difficult, because they make things uncomfortable out there.
Matt: Was there anyone on the Villains Tribe you would have wanted to work with?
Stephenie: I always was a huge fan of Boston Rob, so I would have wanted to play the game with him.

I liked Stephenie and last night was said to see her go, but now that I read she hasn't even watched all the other seasons, I'm glad she's off. I think anyone who is lucky enough to play that game not only once but 2 or 3 times, should be REAL fans, which means you would watch every season like I do.
