A new album by former Beatles drummer Ringo Starr, titled "Y Not," is coming in January. Ringo's press office confirmed the January release and told us a further announcement would be coming soon.

Great to read about this! Won't it be 2 years to the month since LIVERPOOL 8? I wish he'd release this on Hear Music. They've done so well with some long-time artists whose original labels kind of slacked off when the artist didn't fit either Oldies or College radio. Oh, here comes the mandatory slag: Capitol Records stinks & did a lousy job on his 2 albums when Rings returned to them!

Has it been TWO YEARS -- already??? What the...??? I'm ready for a new Ringo album! His last album sounds like a "progression" from his previous album! I only hope the new one sounds even more progressed!

That article trashing Ringo for what he has said or done in the past is pure British gutter journalism,he has done nothing but nurture his fan base for years with wonderful cds and concerts,Ringo has really hit his stride in later years. He hasn't had many outburts over the years and he is only human, i love the man god bless him, he has more than earned his place in the history books.Rock on Ringo a true Starr.
