Hiroshi Matsuyama has hinted at several exclusive episodes that will be added to the upcoming multiplatform video game, "Naruto Shippuden Ultimate Ninja Storm Revolution." In an interview with Click Online on May 2, the president and chief executive officer of CyberConnect2 was asked about the roster size of the fighting game. He replied by reconfirming that more than one hundred characters can be selected.

Furthermore, Hiroshi Matsuyama also revealed that his studio is getting help from Studio Pierrot, the animation company behind the cartoon series. Three episodes have been created through the collaboration just for "Naruto Shippuden Ultimate Ninja Storm Revolution." However, the executive wasn't willing to disclose what the last episode will be focusing on.

Bandai Namco Games previously revealed that the video game will feature a brand new chapter on the Akatsuki, taking a look at the group's past. You can take a look at the organization from the official Facebook page of the series with the screen embedded near the top side of this article. Furthermore, players will be able to find out more background details on Shisui Uchiha. You can find the comments made by Hiroshi Matsuyama below:

So within the new battle system, the character roster has more than one hundred playable ninja to choose from. Because we have full support from Studio Pierrot, which is the original Naruto animation studio, we have two animated episodes that are exclusive to this game. Actually, there are three episodes but we can’t tell you about the last one.

The roster also contains Mecha Naruto, who was created just for "Naruto Shippuden Ultimate Ninja Storm Revolution." Players will be able to learn more about the wacky character while playing through a new mode called Ninja World Tournament, which features a four-way battle based on the collection of orbs. Finally, a few gameplay elements have been upgraded to the upcoming title to add more depth to the fighting system.

The PC, PS3 and Xbox 360 versions of the latest entry into the "Naruto Shippuden Ultimate Ninja Storm " series should be released sometime later this summer. Although the PS4 and Xbox One has been on the market for months, the fighting game appears to be skipping the next-generation consoles. The aforesaid Bandai Namco Games will be publishing and distributing "Naruto Shippuden Ultimate Ninja Storm Revolution" in all major regions.
