Arguably one of the most recognized hairstylists in the world, Beverly Hills-based stylist Jose Eber has had his hands in the hair of Hollywood’s most beloved stars for four decades. On Feb. 26 he will debut a brand new line of hair styling tools which range from $119 - $169, as well as a line of products that range from $17.50 - $22 that will be exclusive to HSN and his salons around the country. On Feb. 27 Jose will appear on the Beauty Report with Carmindy, where they will both be making over women from a live studio audience. Today on Feb. 18, we are excited to share our exclusive interview with Jose.

The collection of hair tools is a necessity for Jose as a hairstylist, as he knows what women want in a tool and its performance. He advises that hair relates to one’s functionality and lifestyle, and since most people don’t have the time to spend an hour on their hair every morning, the flat iron he created skips the step of a blow-dry and also tames the kinkiest of hair with just one pass. The technology and materials used in this collection of tools are the best of ceramic and tourmaline to perform effectively and give the hair high shine.

What inspired you to create a line of hair tools and products?

I’ve been a hairdresser for 40 years, and to me it was a necessity, I know what the women want and they tell me what they’re looking for. So it was important to come out with an amazing line of tools and product that really relate to the user.

What advice would you give someone who doesn’t use hair tools or products much?

It relates to functionality and lifestyle, and how much time you want to invest in your look. Do you want to look different? You can do a lot of stuff, at any length.

Would you explain the concept behind your Wet or Dry Flat Iron?

I’ve seen similar products, but they were all one or the other. You can use it with both wet or dry and this is one of my big hits. You can take African American hair in one swipe, and the 1 ½ inch plate allows you to take bigger sections of hair and allow you style it faster.

Do you have innovative technology in this particular iron?

It’s the highest quality ceramic and tourmaline, so you’re getting the highest product in the iron, to give you the shine, the style and only the best that Jose would be putting his name on.

What are the price points for this collection?

The Wet to Dry Styling Iron is $99 and the 3 Barrel Curling Iron is $99.
